The twins are very energetic and don't really sit still or on their stools. Be very firm with them and remind them. If this group is very cooperative and listen well without being bossy, they may clip up daily when they get back to their room. If the twins are not listening they may need to clip down and the others may clip up. W - Nursery Rhyme and Letter Recognition: Jack and Jill / pass out individual white boards and markers. Review the Sight Words above. In red Reading Journals, have the learners write down the date at the very top of their page. You need to write the word family -it with a marker. Practice coming up with words that follow the Word Family -it: bit, fit, hit, sit, pit, mit, kit, lit, etc. They may even write down nonsense words that also end with -it. I try to come up with 8-10 or so. / Work on sentence structure with sight words in red Reading Journals
TH -Review all letters and sound cards. These are the small white cards in a Ziploc baggie above the red drawers. Hand each learner either a small piece of newspaper or 1 page out of a magazine. Again, these are found on my bookshelf in the middle on the left side in my classroom. I also have cut out words and letters off of cereal and snack boxes. They are to cut out the letter Cc and the letter Vv and glue them on the white paper next to the BK room. / Review with each learner how to write their ABCs on the letter form / Google Assignment for Mrs. Cassutt
